About the role:

As a Senior Financial Planning Administrator, you will be providing efficient and effective dedicated Administration and PA support an Associate Director. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for managing your own task list and providing high quality support to a busy Financial Planner.

As the role requires collaborative working as part of a busy team, the successful candidate will need to be based at our Cheltenham office a minimum of 2 days per week, with the option to work remotely the remaining days. About you:

You will have experience working in a similar role, having either directly supported a Financial Advisor or Planner previously or worked as part of a large team in a Financial Planning firm.

You will be extremely organised and able to manage your time effectively, ensuring that all tasks are completed within agreed timescales. You will a team player, able to support colleagues when needed and ensure work is completed to the highest standards.

You are a fast learner, able to pick things up quickly and seek out learning opportunities. You are naturally inquisitive and have excellent communication skills. You will have sharp attention to detail and work best when faced with a busy workload.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • The accurate processing of all New Business Submissions working with platforms and providers to ensure client applications and requests concluded.
  • Input and maintain new business data in client management systems on a timely basis so that client records are accurate, up-to-date and contain relevant information reflecting the true state and progress of the work undertaken.
  • General Administration support to the wider Financial Planning team to assist with meeting preparation and client enquires.
  • Updating client details, address changes, Update providers and send letter to client confirming
  • Maintain CRM system to keep Financial Planners updated throughout the processing of business in accordance with Service Level Agreements
  • The Onboarding and Offboarding of clients including updating CRM, informing providers, adding, or removing fees
  • Support with MIFID statements as required
  • Continuously review own and team's workflows and processes and offer support to other colleagues where appropriate
  • In coordination with other members of the team, ensure that all housekeeping is maintained up to date to enable the smooth and efficient running of the department.

Essential skills and experience

  • Previous experience supporting a Financial Advisor
  • Good organisational, time management skills and effective caseload management
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative, sometimes for long periods of time
  • Professional, ethical, and discreet
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, numerical and IT skills

Desirable skills and experience

  • Financial Planning qualifications

Salary and benefits

up to £40,000 depending on experience
