The Senior HR Business Partner will have a significant opportunity to make tangible strategic impact on organisational growth through the delivery of strategic people initiatives. With a focus on delivering best-in-class HR solutions, you will partner with managers across different business units implementing strategic people and culture initiatives that align with both short and long-term business goals for the various business unit's and Group.
The role requires a seasoned HR professional with deep expertise across the people life cycle who can operate from their own initiative with excellent intellect and interpersonal skills.
By joining us you will be working on a hybrid model (3 days a week in the office) and have a wonderful opportunity to explore our picturesque offices in Bishops Park, Putney Bridge.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the Group goals.
- Provide operational and strategic HR business partnering services, offering guidance and support to managers across the full people lifecycle.
- Build strong key stakeholder working relationships
- Be a core and trusted member of the People & Culture Group function.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the People & Culture function and other Group unction's.
Talent Management and Development
- Drive initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Lead strategic workforce planning initiatives including headcount forecasting, skills gap analysis, talent assessment, succession planning, and organisational design recommendations.
- Partner with leaders to identify high-potential employees and create development plans.
- Implement learning and development programs to build leadership and technical skills.
Organisational Effectiveness
- Optimise organisational effectiveness through HR processes like strategic planning and organisational design.
- Design and implement effective strategies to manage and navigate periods of change, such as acquisitions, restructuring, and growth initiatives.
- Support change management efforts as the business grows and scales and communicate effectively with teams and employees about changes during transitions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive company culture aligned with company values by developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives to improve morale and productivity including DEI strategies and programs Identify training and development needs and create programs to enhance employee and leadership skills and competencies
- Lead efforts to enhance continuous employee listening and engagement through surveys, focus groups, and action plans.
- Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) across the organisation
Employee Relations
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior managers, managers, and staff on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations.
- Coach and guide managers on company policies, and industry best practice
- Invest igate and resolve employee relations issues, mediating where necessary and working towards preventative measures.
- Act as a trusted advisor on complex HR issues
HR Analytics and Insights
- Provide people insights to support decision making and offer guidance on complex people challenges
- Analyse human resource metrics and compare results to key performance indicators
- Leverage data to identify trends and recommend data-driven HR solutions.
- Track and analyse key HR metrics, such as turnover, engagement, and headcount.
- Provide reports and insights to leadership to inform decision-making.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure HR policies and practices comply with legal requirements and enhancements drive the right business outcomes.
- Mitigate risks related to employee relations, labour laws, and organisational policies.
- Keep up-to-date with employment law and best practices to ensure compliance.
HR BAU and Team Collaboration
- Lead core HR annual BAU processes including talent management cycle relating to talent and performance management, compensation management, succession planning, and leadership development for the organisation.
- Guide managers in effectively managing absence in accordance with the Bradford factor; case manage long term absence and occupational health referrals ensuring compliance with the equality act.
- Develop and enhance internal communication processes
- Working closely as part of the HR team, provide support and back up to colleagues as required and collaborate on ad hoc projects and interventions as requested.
Skills and Experience Required
We're looking for someone who:
- Has 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on business partnership and strategic HR management in a fast-paced, growth environment, ideally vc-backed, early-stage organisation
- Has proven ability to design and implement a breadth of People strategies together with senior leadership to deliver business objectives
- Builds trust quickly across multiple stakeholders through excellent support, execution and delivery
- Is a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to balance multiple interests
- Is a self-starter with a can-do attitude and is experienced at working independently while operating across a team
- Cares deeply about the climate and ecosystems of earth
The ideal candidate will ideally be/have:
- University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field is required
- A graduate member of the CIPD, with a strong track record of providing HR Business Partner services within a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of UK employment law is essential.
- Proven expertise in employee relations, change management, and project delivery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS.
- Strong coaching and training skills, with the ability to support talent management initiatives.
- Experience in driving employee engagement and promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Experience of operating at a senior HR level with demonstrated success in meeting exceptionally high standards in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, strategies and initiatives to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of the company
- Coaching and mentoring experience of senior leaders
- Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs, with a passion for learning and development
- You will be comfortable with a high-volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves"
- You will have the ability to use data driven analysis to identify problems and build solutions
- Experience of working across multi-site organisations and providing remote support.
- Prior experience of supporting all levels of management
