Senior Human Resources Apprentice (HR Operations)

We're looking for a motivated, organised and proactive person to join our Human Resources Operations team. You'll gain experience supporting the HR team and wider company with all matters relating to their employment. As an HR Apprentice, you'll work closely with our HR Operations Manager, and focus on onboarding, induction and HR administration, with involvement in the enhancement of our HR information systems. This is a broad-ranging role which works with different teams across HR and exposes you to different skill-sets.

We handle everything from developing a people strategy that aligns with business needs to dealing with day-to-day employee relations, recruitment, wellbeing and development. Key responsibilities
Onboarding and Induction
- You will learn how the company onboarding and induction processes works, including liaising with various stakeholders to arrange a great onboarding experience. You will then be tasked with consistently looking at how we can improve onboarding for new starters and make the process brilliant.
- Understand our people systems and, as time goes on, you will progress to be able to deliver new starter training on these systems confidently.
- You will develop the ability to answer new starters' questions regarding forms, benefits etc and also liaise with hiring managers, Services and Tech to ensure a smooth onboarding for all
HR Administration
- You will be able to update staff changes, joiners and leavers in the HRIS system
- Manage the creation of letters for employees, including contracts, staff changes, memos, pay review
- Providing references for leavers, tenancy, mortgages and similar
- Manage the central HR inboxes which receive queries from employees
- Updating the HR System with probation planning
- Manage a range of reports around absence, holiday, starters and leavers
- Manage the contingent worker upload to the HRIS system.
- Support the HR Team with PO requisitions
- Manage and maintain the digital filing system
- Manage the Leaver process, track and ensure we have correct details for payroll and system process application
Supporting HR Specialisms
There may be some opportunities to support other teams within HR for example Talent and Performance with ad hoc projects and administration where required and also helping organise HR team social and engagement activities.
Requirements
The ideal person will be organised, detail-oriented and keen to gain in-depth knowledge about systems and processes. You will work autonomously, and also flag issues where needed. We're also looking for a natural collaborator, who is able to work with other members of the team, and who can develop to work confidently with our business stakeholders.
- GCSEs at grade C/level 4 or above in English and Maths
- A keen interest in pursuing a career within Human Resources, an interest in media (no prior experience is required)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to adhere to deadlines and work in a fast-paced team environment
- Good attention to detail
- Punctual, well organised and good at managing your time
