Job Title: Senior HS&E Advisor
Location: Southampton (and surrounding areas on Southern Water sites)

Purpose of the Role:

As a Senior HS&E Advisor, you will lead a team of HS&E Advisors and support the Framework HS&E Manager to deliver best-in-class health, safety, and environmental performance across our projects. You'll play a key role in shaping culture, enhancing compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities:

Lead and develop HS&E Advisors across frameworks and projects

Champion the HS&E strategy and behavioural safety programme

Support project teams with planning, audits, investigations, and reporting

Provide technical advice and ensure regulatory and client compliance

Engage with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure HS&E excellence

About You:

Relevant HS&E experience in infrastructure, construction, or regulated industries

Supervisory experience within a HS&E team

NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential)

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills

IOSH or IIRSM membership desirable (CMIOSH or working towards)

About the Team

Our Environment Business provides 'source to sea' asset delivery capability across the UK and Scotland working on both Frameworks and Standalone projects. Since AMP3 we have delivered in excess of £2bn assets for clients such as Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Welsh Water and Scottish Water. As an established player in the market this a great opportunity to join the team at a time of transformation as we shape ourselves to be fit for delivery in a future digital world. We have recently secured a plethora of places on the AMP7 Frameworks for Yorkshire Water, Southern Water and Thames Water for both Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure projects ranging from £1-40m over the next five years.
