We have an exciting opportunity for a strategic Senior HR Business Partner to join our dynamic HR team within The Affidea Group based in London. This pivotal role will focus on providing expert advice and support on contracts, employment law, and people management, ensuring that our people strategies align with the organizational goals. The Senior HR Business Partner will work closely with senior leadership and department heads to drive HR initiatives, improve employee engagement, and ensure compliance with employment laws within the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Provide expert HR guidance and support to senior leadership, management teams, and employees on complex HR issues related to contracts, employment law, and people management.
- Manage and advise on all aspects of employment contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Support the organization in understanding and implementing changes to employment law, ensuring that HR policies and procedures reflect current legislation and best practices.
- Team lead for the local HR Team
- Drive the development, implementation, and review of HR policies and procedures to enhance the people management framework and foster a high-performance culture.
- Provide expert advice on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management matters, ensuring consistency and fairness across the organization.
- Lead on complex employee relations cases, from advising on investigations and hearings to resolution and risk management.
- Comply and implement Affidea Corporate initiatives, policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes and policies to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Act as a change agent by leading people-focused initiatives and supporting organizational development strategies.
- Monitor and analyse HR metrics and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management on workforce planning and people management strategies.
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure HR strategies support the organization's goals and vision.
Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) or substantial experience in a senior HR role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, including contracts, employee rights, and legislation related to the healthcare sector.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within the healthcare sector is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of NHS policies or private healthcare regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Experience with HR systems and analytics for strategic decision-making.
- Post-graduate qualifications in HR or related fields are advantageous.
Experience
- Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in HR, with a focus on contracts, employment law, and people management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Proven track record of providing high-level advice on complex HR and employee relations matters.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with senior leadership and employees at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Experience in change management and driving people-related organizational transformation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
