Job Summary:

We're seeking a commercially focused People professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to prioritise People initiatives based on the needs of the business. This role will work with the FI People Leadership Team to drive people initiatives in support of our Commercial division which includes Buying & Merchandising, eCommerce, Retail, and Wholesale. This role will play a pivotal part in enabling the growth strategy, overall business goals, and cultural objectives. This is a Sr. HR Business Partner position where you will partner with stakeholders across both supported client groups focusing on onboarding, employee experience & culture, talent development & performance management, compensation, and employee relations. This role will be based in Manchester, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic People Partnership: Collaborate with senior management in the Commercial Division to develop and implement People strategies that support and add value to business goals
  • Talent Management: In close partnership with the talent development team, support talent and retention strategies tailored to the needs of Retail, Wholesale, Buying & Merchandising, and eCommerce departments.
  • Performance Management: Play a leading role in the performance management process to drive high performance and employee engagement within the Commercial Division.
  • Employee Relations: Provide expert advice and support on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment laws, company policies and commercial goals.
  • Organisational Development: Lead initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness, including change management, team building, and leadership development within the Commercial Division.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Partner with Corporate Total rewards team to help design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain employees.
  • People Metrics and Reporting: Develop comprehensive data and analytics reporting capabilities and utilize those metrics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of People initiatives within the Commercial Division.
  • Support Growth Initiatives: Develop and implement people programs to support growth in key markets.
  • People and Payroll Systems: Support the implementation of new HR and Payroll systems (Oracle and ADP).
  • Employment Patterns: Monitor employment lifecycle (e.g., terminations, hires, promotions) and analyze, to devise solutions. The end goal is to ensure people resources are meeting current and future business needs for utilization.
  • Communication: Take a leading role in communicating key initiatives and information in partnership with the communications team.
  • Legal Compliance: Monitor legal developments in the UK to ensure compliance with people programs and policies and ensure all People practices comply with applicable laws.
  • Policy Development: Draft employee policies and procedures as needed.
  • Employee Relations Investigations: Lead local employee relations investigations as needed.
  • International Support: Provide basic HR support to other territories, including but not limited to France, Italy, Germany, and Australia.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: In alignment with Commercial business goals, proactively identify gaps, challenges or opportunities and provide solutions back to Senior Leadership Team. Collaborate with broader teams across the wider organisation to roll out and implement smoothly and successfully. (i.e. reduce payroll queries on a mass scale).
  • EDI Initiatives: Take a leading role in conceptualizing, developing, and implementing EDI initiatives that align with IDEA at Fanatics
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum Level 7 CIPD qualification required. Relevant HR, law, or business management qualification (ideally Bachelor's degree or higher).
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years working in an People/HR department with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Prior business partner experience in an operations or manufacturing facility is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) is essential.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Agility to work in an ever-changing environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably Oracle and ADP. Experience with compensation, complex employee relations issues, and working under regulated environments with collective bargaining and unions.
  • Attributes: Outgoing, confident, resilient, and proactive with a 'can do' and solution oriented aptitude. Ability to work independently and flexibly in line with changing priorities and business demands.
  • Location: Ability to work onsite in our Stakehill and Stubbs Mill offices in Manchester.
