Senior HR Business Adviser

Role Responsibility

This is a challenging and exciting career opportunity within the HR Team, supporting and enabling our service managers to achieve their business outcomes with confidence and competence.

As a senior HR Adviser you will be confident in operating in an advisory capacity and be able to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation to deliver business focused solutions. Engaging with the business to understand their needs as well as developing, implementing and evaluating policies, systems and guidance tools in line with HR and OD Strategy.

Working as part of a collaborative, supportive and customer-focused team, you will be required to work on a range of complex projects such as re-organisation, reward, employment policy, resourcing and pensions as well as handling a complex caseload including disciplinary issues or complaints and ensuring that these are managed in accordance with procedures and employment law.

Ideally you will have experience of working within a unionised environment and be competent in developing strong and effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
