Job Title: Band 3, Senior Health Care Assistant
Substantive Post, 30 hours per week flexible working hours will be considered. No weekend work is required.
Based in the Milford Integrated Care (MIC) Hub, at Milford Hospital
Are you an experienced Health Care Assistant looking to develop their skills with a friendly community team working within an outpatient department?
As part of the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust, based at Milford Hospital, the MIC Hub offers you the opportunity to work for a unique, dynamic organisation thats transforming adult community services locally.
Working as part of the MIC Hub team you will work closely with nursing colleagues reviewing patients coming in for a variety of appointments including frailty clinics, Parkinsons clinics and IV clinics within the department.
Main duties of the job
- You will be responsible for completing assessments for patients including, but not limited to, observations, ECGs, and blood tests.
- You will manage your own patients arriving, under the supervision of our registered nurses team and we will support developing your skills within the team.
- We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for improving patient care and patient experience.
The MIC Hub provides holistic assessment for older people with a variety of complex needs with the aim to improve the patients quality of life, promote self-care, reduce risk of deterioration in patients condition and avoid unnecessary hospital admission.
The Hub also supports a variety of other outpatient clinics to improve the health and wellbeing of our community patients and we want you to be an integral member of our team supporting a variety of interesting services.
Full support with transition from different clinical areas will be put in place as part of induction including competencies of clinical skills required.
