We currently have excellent opportunities for a Senior GoldenSource Developer to join our growing team in London

Role Responsibilities

• Technical mentoring and leadership of other developers in the team.
• Design and development of the instrument reference data module.
• Conduct systems testing and support user acceptance testing.
• Dealing with day-to-day production problems and maintenance. This may require working shifts and/or being on-call out of normal working hours.
• Actively engage in and promote the Agile delivery process for projects carried out in the space, including Sprint planning, daily stand ups and retrospectives.
• Creation and management of test environments.
• Oversight of non- functional test requirements, coverage and acceptance, including system performance.
• Quality Assurance of design and development, including coding standards.
• Definition of and monitoring compliance with technical process controls including release management, code branching decisions, technology choice, environment management.
• Ensuring that technical operational acceptance takes place on software deliverables prior to production release, including monitoring completeness of operational acceptance checklists and that appropriate technical walkthroughs have taken place.
• Defining processes for technical quality assurance of technical deliverables from 3rd party vendors (including L2 support).
• Adhering to development standards and procedures, including change control
• All work is to be undertaken adhering to existing project and department standards for documentation, security, testing and release management.

Key Experience required:

• Knowledge of the GoldenSource product (On-prem Install or SaaS/Cloud implementation)
• Experience in implementing and supporting the GoldenSource product in a financial institution
• Minimum five years' experience in Java and J2EE
• Experience in using object oriented methodologies
• Experience with Publish/Subscribe messaging paradigms, distributed transaction processing based on JTA/JTS
• Experience with installing, configuring and monitoring JBoss
• GoldenSource Security master module
• GoldenSource Customer & Counterparty module
• UNIX skills in particular Linux
• Excellent relational database skills, preferably Oracle
• Experience of using automated testing tools such as JUnit and mocking libraries such as jMock
• Experience of working with XML based technologies such as XSLT
