Senior Global Mobility Assistant (FTC)

Base Location: Watford

FTC Duration: 1 x 12 month FTC & 1 x 24 month FTC

KPMG's Global Mobility team supports the talent strategy by facilitating and managing assignments all over the world. Working as a pro-active member of the team you will provide full assignment lifecycle advisory support to business stakeholders and our assignees directly. You will have a consultative approach and be able to demonstrate a highly organised and efficient approach. The role is challenging and exceptionally diverse and you will possess and further develop a wide range of technical and professional skills.

What will you be doing?

  • Working closely with functional business leaders, the wider team, and overseas colleagues you will support our talent to achieve their global mobility ambitions.
  • Consulting with key business contacts you will understand requirements and then manage the end-to-end assignment approach.
  • Through understanding our Global Policy, you will support business contacts and assignees on best practice options.
  • Working closely with key internal and external expert stakeholders you will review corporate tax, immigration, payroll, and personal tax considerations and ensure assignments are structured appropriately.
  • Values orientated you will manage the assignee experience to ensure our people are well supported.
  • You will work closely with our Global Mobility Assistants on the assignment administration requirements and support the knowledge development of other team members.
  • Build a global network or colleague contacts around the world with the aim of enhancing the Global Mobility experience and wider take up of Global Mobility opportunities.
  • Ensure all compliance activities are carried out effectively and correctly including right to work checks.
  • Maintain pipeline reporting and systems updates to ensure accurate central management information and maintain up-to-date assignment folders.

What will you need to do it?

  • Able to demonstrate some previous experience working within the field of international assignments or global mobility or legal, immigration or an HR environment including UK compliance knowledge.
  • You will demonstrable a consultative style, be well organised, a strong communicator, able to prioritise and work under pressure, and have motivated approach to self-learning and self-development.
  • You will possess good interpersonal skills as you will be dealing with senior stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
  • Good IT skills which can support assignment tracking especially Excel.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative but also contribute to a high performing team.
