The post-holder will play a key role in embedding and integrating our internationalisation efforts in support of the University's strategy, BU2025.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Global Engagement Mobility Manager to support our strategic international student mobility development ambitions. This role will be line-managed by the Head of International Partnerships. The post-holder will lead on grant management of a key student mobility externally funded projects which will contribute towards the development of global outlook attributes for all students and staff in support of BU2025.

The postholder will have specific responsibility for grant management and compliance, including managing, developing and promoting opportunities for international student and staff mobility and experience. This will include working extensively with academic and professional service colleagues at all levels across BU and with HEIs and partners organisations overseas, as well as leading teams and line managing staff.

This is an exciting and varied role that will suit someone who has a passion for internationalisation of HE. The right candidate will have extensive managerial and leadership experience and exceptional organisational and communication skills. Ideally, you will have worked in the UK HE Sector in the field of international partnership development or international mobility but it is not essential.

This 12-month Maternity Cover will suit a solution-oriented, confident and self-motivated individual who is able to work well as part of a team and on own initiative, who will thrive in a busy, and staff and student facing role.

This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service's Points Based System . Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.

This position is available part-time for 29.6 hours per week or 0.8 FTE (4 days a week).

This position is offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months, to cover the maternity leave of an established member of staff. Consideration may also be given to the position being offered as a secondment opportunity, but this would need to be discussed with their line managers prior to application.
