About The Role

APEM's Geospatial Insights team provides expert advice and project delivery for a range of aerial survey based services. This includes projects involving ultra-high resolution aerial imagery, LiDAR and thermal data. We work across the infrastructure, construction and utility sectors to deliver our unique services. We develop many of our services in house through internal R&D work, which enables us to deliver services no other company can.

In this exciting role as a senior geospatial LiDAR scientist, you'll be providing remote sensing and LiDAR processing services to our clients, from processing LiDAR datasets from raw data received from surveys through to classified point cloud data, interacting with our survey operations team to ensure surveys are undertaken smoothly. You'll also be able to get involved in working with our close knit geospatial teams with assisting in providing consultancy services such as tender production, managing varied projects and helping to drive forwards APEM's remote sensing products and services.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience in handling and processing LiDAR data sets from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of geospatial data and techniques.
  • Previous experience in using LiDAR processing and analysis software.
  • Able to identify and address technical challenges in data processing
