• Building and maintaining high-performing relationships with client senior management and key stakeholders by actively listening to and acting upon the Voice of the Customer.
• Develop or contribute to a Joint Business Plan with all clients to ensure that both DHL and the client have an agreed strategic framework for the business.
• Demonstrate strong operational, service, cost control, and quality performance, leading weekly and periodic client business review processes as required.
• Maximize the performance of site operations to meet both client and DHL requirements through effective direction, resource planning, meaningful and regular communication at all levels.
• Ensure that site operations comply with all legal, corporate, contractual, and client requirements for safety, quality, service delivery, and cost always.
• Effective resource planning processes will be implemented based on the latest client volume forecasts and operational capabilities, reviewed regularly to ensure all plans remain fit for purpose.
• Continuous improvement and review of operational performance against targets and budgets, identifying areas for improvement and taking responsibility for developing these into continuous improvement/change programs with the support and buy-in of relevant stakeholders as needed.

• Complex Commercial Management: Proven experience in managing complex closed book commercial arrangements is essential for this role, ensuring effective financial oversight and strategic alignment with business objectives.
• Automated Warehousing Management: Managing a large, automated warehousing facility is required, demonstrating proficiency in overseeing advanced logistics operations.
• Senior-Level Warehousing Operations: A strong track record of managing warehousing operations at a senior level, showcasing leadership in optimizing processes and driving efficiency.
• Process Improvement: While experience in using Process Improvement techniques to resolve operational issues is desirable, a focus on continuous improvement is critical for success in this role.
• Team Development: A demonstrable record of building and developing teams, driving high performance, and engaging with colleagues at all levels, creating a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Target Achievement: An exceptional and demonstrable record of delivering against targets is essential, reflecting a results-oriented mindset and commitment to operational success.
• Supply Chain Expertise: Experience within an OEM manufacturing supply chain environment is desirable, providing insight into industry-specific operational challenges and solutions.
• Employee Relations Strategy: A background in developing effective working relationships with Trade Unions through robust Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) strategy development is desirable, fostering a collaborative workplace culture.
