Location: Witney, Oxfordshire.

Salary: £50,215 - £55,427

Job type: Permanent, full-time.

Hours: 08:30 - 16:00 (37.5 hours per week)

This is an office based role but some flexibility around working hours and working from home is available at the discretion of the Head of Marketing & Development.

This role is key to supporting the needs of our growing fundraising team. But it's no ordinary fundraising role - it's a chance to help transform lives. As our Senior Fundraising Manager, you'll lead a small passionate team and work closely with our Head of Marketing & Development to raise the vital funds that make extraordinary stories of change possible. From building meaningful partnerships to developing innovative fundraising strategies, you'll be a central force in creating hope and opportunity for children, families, and communities impacted by trauma.

We'll look to you to:

Lead and inspire a small but ambitious fundraising team, driving forward a bold three-year growth strategy.Develop and implement creative, forward-thinking strategies that engage corporate partners and major donors.

  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with supporters, providing exceptional care to maximise engagement and income.
  • Manage fundraising budgets with precision, ensuring we meet targets while staying aligned with our mission and values.
  • Effectively use our Raiser's Edge CRM for donor information, reporting and tailored donor development/relations plans.
  • Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to amplify our mission, boosting awareness and support for our work.
  • Keep up to date with fundraising trends and Charity legislation, ensuring all activities are legally compliant, impactful, and aligned with our values.
  • Develop and produce fundraising materials as required.
  • Represent The Mulberry Bush as an inspiring ambassador, bringing our extraordinary story to life by speaking at networking and fundraising events.
  • Ensure that the safeguarding and protection of the children is always a top priority, completing every task following our Charity's policies.

Here's what you'll bring:

  • Several years of fundraising experience, ideally focused on corporate partnerships or major donors.
  • Experience of managing others within a fundraising team.
  • A track record of achieving income growth through new opportunities and relationship management.
  • Experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies, with an appetite for innovative and creative solutions.
  • The ability to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Financial savvy, able to set and manage budgets with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Raiser's Edge NXT is a bonus) and strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge of GDPR legislation, best practice policy and its implications for fundraising.
  • A commitment to anti-discriminatory practices, promoting equal opportunities, and fostering diversity in all aspects of your work.
  • A willingness to travel, occasionally work evenings and weekends, and step in wherever needed to keep things moving forward.

Bonus Points For:

  • Fundraising qualifications or a degree-level education.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.

Selection process

  • Attend an initial Teams interview.
  • Complete an application form (this is a requirement of our safer recruitment policy).
  • Attend a face-to-face interview (including giving a short presentation).
  • Participate in the DBS criminal background checking process.
