Senior Full Stack Developer Tech Lead

Role Context:

We are seeking software developers with a general interest in technology and problem solving, who are innovative & persevering. People who work well in a collaborative team environment. People that can challenge those around them, and be challenged, while delivering exciting digital experiences for our external customers.

You'll work within a small, high-energy project team to bring a product to life - an exciting opportunity to work like a start-up within a rapidly scaling business unit

You'll be:

• Work within an early-stage project with potential to have a big impact, and influence how the back-end scales to meet new challenges and create a wider ecosystem
• Ensure a smooth end to end user experience using a modern front-end and back-end tech stack
• Create apps that work consistently across modern web-browsers and devices
• Work on difficult design challenges using micro-frontend patterns, micro-services, and multi-tenancy architectures.
• Collaborate within a dedicated cross-functional team drawn from a dynamic and diverse team at Worley.
• Lead a team of developers, defining standards and best practices to follow
• Perform code review providing feedback to team members.
• Interact with an Enterprise IT-function defining comprehensive standards for the program.
• Care about the code that you write, its maintainability and documentation
• Build highly scalable distributed solutions that enhance user experiences
• Develop new features and infrastructure to meet emerging business and project requirements.
• Develop guidelines for automated software testing to ensure robust and reliable applications
• Oversee code reviews and maintain code quality standards.

You'll have:

• The passion to create great solutions and a mindset to learn and grow with Worley
• A strong understanding of Python and .NET ecosystems, with 5+ years of experience building enterprise solutions at scale
• Confident programming skills with JavaScript, npm projects & browser frameworks, with an expectation to work with React & Redux productively from day 1.
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, graph databases, and other storages.
• Experience with the design and development of HTTP APIs, using REST or GraphQL.
• An ability to discuss vision and features within team and propose creative solutions.
• An ability to write robust, fault-tolerant, and scalable software.
• A proficient understanding of working with Git, Azure DevOps.
• Experience building applications using Docker and configuring Linux containers
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Experience developing solutions in Azure and/or AWS
• Experience working with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of micro frontends
• Be self-directed but enjoy collaboration, contributing ideas and sharing knowledge
• The confidence to take ownership of the complete development of a product from inception through to delivery.
