Senior Front End Developer

Role Context:

A Lead Front-End Developer is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining the user interface and user experience of web applications using React or similar frameworks. A front-end developer works with various technologies and tools, such as HTML, CSS, JSX, Redux, React Hooks, React Router, and Webpack, to create dynamic, interactive, and responsive web solutions that meet the business needs and goals. They are responsible leading a team of Front-End developers, according to best practices setting up standards for the team to follow, adhering to the Enterprise standards, and maintain documentation and team standards compliant with the Enterprise standards and industry best practices.

You'll be:

  • Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining front-end solutions using React that meet the business requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborating with tech leads responsible for other disciplines, back-end developers, project managers, end-users, and other stakeholders to understand the business needs and goals.
  • Performing code review and provide feedback to team members.
  • Defining standards and best practices for the Program in compliance with the Enterprise standards for Front-End development.
  • Using React and its features to create reusable, modular, and maintainable components that render the user interface and user experience of web applications.
  • Using Redux and React Hooks to manage the state and data flow of web applications.
  • Using React Router to handle the routing and navigation of web applications.
  • Using Web pack to optimize and bundle the code and assets of web applications.
  • Using HTML, CSS, and JSX to define the structure, style, and logic of web pages.
  • Using web design principles and best practices to create responsive, accessible, usable, and performant web solutions for end-users.
  • Using web development tools and frameworks to enhance the appearance and functionality of web solutions.
  • Using software development methodologies and best practices to ensure the quality, reliability, and maintainability of front-end solutions.
  • Using version control systems to manage the source code of front-end solutions.
  • Using testing tools and frameworks to perform unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, and user acceptance testing of front-end solutions.
  • Using debugging tools and techniques to troubleshoot and resolve issues in front-end solutions.
  • Providing technical support and training to end-users on how to use front-end solutions.

You'll have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in front-end development using JavaScript or similar programming languages.
  • At least 2 years of experience in using React or similar JavaScript libraries or frameworks.
  • Experience in using Redux, React Hooks, React Router, and Web pack
  • Experience in using HTML, CSS, and JSX, the languages and syntaxes that define the structure, style, and logic of web pages.
  • Experience in using web design principles and best practices.
  • Experience in using web development tools and frameworks, such as Bootstrap, Material UI, Ant Design, and Tailwind CSS
  • Experience in using version control systems, such as Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in using testing tools and frameworks, such as Jest, Enzyme, Cypress, and React Testing Library
  • Experience in using debugging tools and techniques, such as Chrome Dev Tools, React Developer Tools, and Redux Dev Tools
  • Certification in React or related technologies is preferred but not required.
  • Portfolio of previous front-end projects or samples of code is preferred but not required.
  • High-quality coding skill in JavaScript, the most widely used programming language for web development.
  • Knowledge of React and its features, such as components, props, state, hooks, lifecycle methods, and virtual DOM.
  • Knowledge of Redux, a state management library that integrates with React.
  • Knowledge of React Hooks, a new feature that allows using state and other React features without writing a class component.
  • Knowledge of React Router, a routing library that enables navigation and dynamic rendering of components in React applications.
  • Knowledge of Web pack, a module bundler that optimizes and bundles the code and assets of React applications.
  • Knowledge of web design principles and best practices, such as responsiveness, accessibility, usability, and performance
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, such as agile, scrum, and DevOps.
  • Lead a team of FE developers, defining standards and best practices to follow.
  • Perform code review providing feedback to team members.
  • Interact with a Program Tech Lead defining comprehensive standards for Front-End development.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
