What you will be doing:

This position will be the first person in the FP&A function with the unique possibility to build everything up in close collaboration with our newly joining VP of Finance. In this position, you will be partnering with all stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Testing, People and Operations to help make crucial business decisions and mitigate risks.

Your Responsibilities:

    • Financial Analysis: Conducting detailed financial analysis of the revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability metrics.
    • Financial Forecasting: Developing and maintaining financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flows. These forecasts will be used to guide budgeting, resource allocation, investment decisions, as well as to evaluate the potential impact of strategic initiatives.
    • Scenario Analysis: Performing scenario analysis to assess the financial implications of various business strategies, market conditions, and industry trends. This involves creating models that simulate different scenarios and evaluating their impact on key financial metrics.
    • Risk Assessment: Identifying and assessing financial risks associated with higher spending, different pricing strategies or investment decisions. You will work closely with other departments to provide decision-making support and ensure the financial stability of the organization.
    • Reporting and Presentation: Compiling financial reports and presentations for senior management, board members, and external stakeholders. You will communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, marketing, lab teams, battery teams, people and operations to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis. You will also work closely with IT professionals to optimize and automate financial modelling processes.
    • Continuous Improvement: Staying abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in financial modelling and analysis. You will proactively identify opportunities to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of financial models and processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting, preferably within the B2B field.
  • Proficiency, including implementation, in financial modelling software and familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Ability to work in a complex environment and a hands-on mentality with a strong solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of automotive or consumer electronics market trends is a plus.
