Responsibilities:
Monthly Reporting
- Co-ordination and management of monthly processes ensuring team and key stakeholders aware of requirements and timelines.
- Management of the month end meeting with CFO including collation and understanding of results in advance of review sessions.
- Responsibility for Monthly board pack, working with the team to improve and adapt reporting to include relevant content in line with key initiatives
- Ownership of the month end position including the Group recharge model to provide accurate reporting by Brand and by Channel.
- Manage short term profit outlook outside of formal reforecast, collating updates across the team and keeping CFO informed.
Budget & Forecast
- Agree annual planning cycle and co-ordinate detailed timetables
- Collate roll up of results during process and keep Head of Commercial Finance/CFO informed of latest position at regular intervals allowing timely management of agreed budgets/forecasts.
- Work closely with Finance Systems team to improve processes and reporting.
- Agree content and co-ordinate board presentations taking responsibility for key reporting schedules.
Cashflow
- Responsible for direct cashflow forecast working closely with Group Finance/Treasury team to understand cash actuals and working with the Commercial team to keep live forecasts accurate and up to date.
- Improve current modelling and processes to update regularly and efficiently
- Ensure CFO has a reliable and up to date cash forecast to manage Group cash.
- Build and develop an indirect cashflow model working closely with Commercial Finance team on P&L inputs and Group Finance on balance sheet forecasts.
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Experience in Retail / a Consumer Brand
- Demonstrable experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
- Franchise experience - highly desirable
- Multi-site and multi-departmental experience preferred
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Ability to communicate and simplify complex inputs and outputs
- Strong business acumen and able to simplify the business into a financial model
- An expert communicator and confident explaining complicated models to non-finance people.
