About the Role
The FP&A group is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to support our Energy division. Reporting into the FP&A Director FP&A you will assist with financial planning and budgeting processes, analysing financial statements and reports, assisting with close processes and reporting, developing financial models, preparing forecasts, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership.
You Will:
- Work with business partners and the FMA team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Work on month-end close and reporting, providing explanations for key variances.
- Update and manage forecast models.
- Create and maintain regular reporting of financial performance.
- Work with the business and purchasing team to ensure accurate set up of PO/PR's.
- Monthly reporting and analysis of the business's Annual Contract Value and sales performance.
- Assist in KPI (key performance indicator) collection and reporting.
- Work and collaborate with your other FP&A colleagues to share best practice and provide cover across the team.
- Will work on projects on an as-needed basis.
- Create variance and trending analyses which monitor performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Work with business partners to prepare accurate forecasts and budgets.
- Build business case models to evaluate the financial impact of decisions.
You Have:
- Accounting and analytical skills; Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and/or part qualified CIMA.
- High degree of proficiency in PC skills including experience with financial applications and reporting tools, specifically Microsoft excel (can perform complex functions).
- Planning and organizational skills including effective time management and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates initiative and drive and works well under pressure including being a team player with a strong work ethic.
- Experience maintaining accounting records and preparation of financial reports
- Ability to recognise problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions and define/suggest resolutions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of business partners.
- Knowledge of or experience with SAP or related programs.
