THE ROLE

Are you passionate about hospitality, food, and delivering unforgettable dining experiences? Aberdeen Performing Arts is looking for a talented Senior Food and Beverage Manager to lead and elevate our culinary and bar offerings across three iconic venues. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Commercial, you'll oversee a skilled team, develop innovative strategies, and work alongside senior leadership to deliver commercial success and operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and deliver a visionary strategy for hospitality, food, and beverage operations.
  • Identify and implement new revenue streams and innovative business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and execute Trading Company priorities.

Team Leadership

  • Inspire and lead the hospitality team to consistently deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Champion collaboration and continuous improvement across departments.

Operations Management

  • Oversee all food and beverage outlets, ensuring quality and adherence to brand standards across bars, cafés, restaurants, and sales points.
  • Work closely with chefs to craft cost-effective, customer-focused menus.
  • Collaborate with assistant managers to maximise sales margins and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, licensing, and environmental standards.

Financial and Quality Control

  • Manage a £1.3 million budget with a focus on profitability and efficiency.
  • Implement effective stock management and cost-control measures to minimise waste.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide comprehensive updates and insights.

Customer Experience & Events

  • Foster a customer-first culture, using feedback to continually improve service standards.
  • Partner with the events team to deliver outstanding food and beverage services for conferences and special occasions.

WORKING WITH US

Based at the Music Hall, you'll have the opportunity to work across all three of our iconic venues. This is a full-time role, working five days from seven, with evening and weekend availability required to support our vibrant operations.

  • Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
  • Holidays: 32 days (inclusive of public holidays), rising to 37 days with length of service
