We are looking for a Fintech Accountant with hands-on experience from small to mid-sized money transfer companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of IT systems, the e-money FCA framework, and automation of financial operations. You will also manage a small team of bookkeepers and a financial operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of fin-ops staff, ensuring accurate transaction processing and IT systems control.
• Ensure compliance with relevant FCA regulations and manage fund segregation.
• Calculate and manage exchange gains for bulk payments through proper setup and control systems.
• Automate financial operations and streamline processes.
• Understand and manage data flow between transaction and financial systems.
• Assist the head of finance in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of accounting experience in fintech or Remittance.
• Experience with money transfer operations and e-money FCA regulations.
• Strong IT systems knowledge and process automation skills.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Proficient in accounting software and financial management systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
