Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

This role sits within Financial Reporting team and will lead on all statutory reporting for PIC, including the annual report and accounts and the half year investor report. You will also support the wider reporting team in delivering regulatory and MI reporting and have oversight of outsourced accounting firms that prepare the financial statements for smaller group subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead on Production of all external IFRS reporting produced by the finance function including annual reporting and accounts.
• Working with the wider business, other parts of the finance team, and the external auditor.
• Responsible for improving the current statutory and other reporting processes.
• Development of technical papers supporting any new accounting policies or treatments required together with supporting evidence.

Requirements

You must be a qualified accountant with

• Detailed knowledge of the Life Insurance industry and the relevant reporting metrics including IFRS 17.
• Experience gained from other reporting roles.
• Strong technical accountancy skills with an understanding of life and pensions accounting.
• Ability to influence key senior stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse complex problems and propose solutions.
