We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Financial Planning Assistant to support one or two of our Financial Planners and play a key role in mentoring and developing trainee and apprentice FP Assistants. This is a fantastic chance to join a collaborative team where your expertise will directly contribute to exceptional client service and the smooth running of our advice process.
What you'll be doing:
You'll be at the heart of our client journey, ensuring every stage runs efficiently and professionally. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing pre-meeting packs for new clients
- Drafting client engagement letters alongside Financial Planners
- Recording and maintaining client information in Intelligent Office (IO)
- Adding, updating and monitoring tasks within IO
- Processing platform work, including new business submissions, cash management and fund switches
- Assisting with four-eye checks to maintain accuracy and compliance
- Using provider websites to gather product information and valuations
- Submitting and tracking new business
- Supporting Financial Planners with Annual Reviews
- Liaising with life offices, IMS and other third-party providers
- Handling client queries and taking incoming calls when required
- Keeping Financial Planners updated on pipeline and in-progress cases
- Working closely with Paraplanners and the review team to ensure timely production of reports
- Adding client remuneration expectations to IO and generating invoices where appropriate
- Submitting Letters of Authority and gathering required information
- Completing AML checks, including ID verification and ID3 Global processing
- Producing client valuations using IO and Figaro
- Supporting with trusts and death claims
- Acting as a subject matter expert in one or more specialist areas (e.g., trusts, DB pension transfers)

Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree-level education (or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Financial Planning support
