Education/Qualification
Essential criteria
- AAT Qualified or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- CCAB Qualified (or equivalent combination of CCAB part qualified and experience)
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Experience
Essential criteria
- Production of Statutory Final Accounts or extensive involvement in the process
- Utilising financial ledger systems to undertake sales ledger, purchase ledger, and general ledger procedures.
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Prepare charitable fund accounts in accordance with necessary statutory guidance
- Cash flow management
- VAT accounting and preparation of returns to HMRC
- Payroll processing and third party payments
- Streamlining processes and procedures to improve efficiency
- Working with internal and external auditors
- Working with non-financial managers on finance and technical matters
- Using Systems
- Advanced Excel skills
Desirable criteria
- Financial modelling skills
- Financial systems management
- Project management and implementation of new financial systems or system upgrades
