Are you an enthusiastic Financial Accountant ready to make a significant impact in a dynamic finance team? We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to ensure accurate and timely financial results while maintaining compliance and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for various essential tasks, including:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations within required deadlines. How do you ensure accuracy in your financial reporting?
• Maintaining the integrity of ledgers and managing key accounting areas, including VAT returns and the Fixed Asset register. What strategies do you employ to oversee accounts payable and receivable processes?
• Preparing annual financial statements and assisting with year-end audits. How do you manage month-end procedures effectively?
• Collaborating with the Finance Operations team and handling other ad-hoc tasks as required. How do you prioritize your workload in a fast-paced environment?

Core Skills and Knowledge:

We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in finance and accounting. The ideal candidate will possess:

• Qualifications: Are you CIMA or ACCA qualified, or newly qualified?
• Market Knowledge: Do you have an awareness of the financial market landscape, including competitors and market drivers?
• IT Skills: How proficient are you with Microsoft Office applications?
• Investec-Specific Knowledge: Are you familiar with Investec's procedures and compliance protocols?
• Strong analytical skills: Can you work quickly and accurately while solving problems effectively?
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: How do you engage with team members and stakeholders?
• Experience: Have you worked in a dynamic, fast-paced finance team, and how do you handle pressure?

Desirable Attributes:

While not essential, the following attributes would be advantageous:

• Experience using JD Essbase.
• Awareness of asset finance and financial services.
