Role Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Planning Manager to drive the commercial planning process within the Commercial Planning and Trading team working with senior leaders within Finance and across the wider business to ensure our commercial plans meet the growth ambitions of the business and maximise returns to Good Causes.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of the sales, gross and net margin forecast for each of game categories across the business as part of the quarterly and annual planning cycles
  • Take ownership of the sales model that is used as part of the planning process, making necessary improvements to ensure it is fit for purpose for future planning cycles
  • Lead on the delivery of analysis on the underlying performance trends of the business to support the accurate development of key assumptions within the planning model.
  • Lead on the consolidation of planned business activities within the plan, engaging with business stakeholders and supporting finance business partners to ensure activity is underpinned with robust commercial cases
  • Lead on the consolidation of benefits tracking of business initiatives outlined in the annual business plan to ensure we have a robust understanding on the contribution of new initiatives to current and future business performance
  • Lead on the development of improvements to the Commercial Planning and Trading teams reporting and performance monitoring capability in collaboration with the Senior Product Finance Manager.
  • Support the Head of Commercial Planning and Trading with adhoc commercial analysis and benefit sizing requests

• Support the Head of Commercial Planning and Trading with the regular production of weekly and monthly trading performance reporting in collaboration with the Senior Product Finance Manager as part of fluctuating resource demands and priorities across the team

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Highly numerate with the ability to analyse, model and interpret data, including large data sets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to articulate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and ability to apply this to decision making and recommendations
  • Experience in a similar Commercial Finance role preferred.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Lookups, Pivots, Data Visualisation), data manipulation and financial modelling
  • Self-starter with a keen attention to detail and independent thinking
  • String communication skills - will have frequent exposure to senior stakeholders
  • Trusted business partner - will engage a wide variety of stakeholders across the business
