About the role
Join our Finance Team based in our Brighton office, where you will be working closely with the Group Finance Manager, playing a pivotal role in shaping the Finance department across the Paxton Group which consists of 5 companies. You will support the Groups financial stability and growth as we continue to increase our global presence.
You will be someone that enjoys seeing and understanding the overall picture, to support and lead the team that have an excellent understanding of their functions and responsibilities. This is an exciting opportunity where we are looking for a Senior Finance Manager/Financial Controller to go on a journey to becoming the future Group Finance Manager of Paxton.
- Conduct annual appraisals, quarterly reviews and one-to-one meetings along with proactively providing training and support to the Finance Team
- Manage Paxton Group cashflows, audits and be the first point of contact with external auditor
- Prepare, review monthly board packs and Group VAT Returns
- Review and approve weekly and monthly payment runs and post local and international payroll into accounting systems
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for each of the Group Companies
- Prepare monthly management reports to be presented to Senior Management Team
- Be flexible to handle tasks given by Group Finance Manager and prioritise as necessary
- Support Group Finance Manager in annual budgeting process.
What are we looking for?
- Proven demonstrable experience leading and developing a finance team
- ACCA / CIMA qualified with some experience in a similar role is a must
- The ability to work collaboratively across departments and build relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill and confident at presenting to board level.
- Excellent knowledge of how the finance function operates in business.
