What you'll do
Finance Operations delivers services to the Finance organisation and businesses for all VB Group entities. It is accountable for the delivery of all financial processes, financial actuals and Accounting/management reporting.
This role has operational accountability for all aspects of MEC processes, financial reporting of legal entities, financial controls and process KPIs, management of operating costs, capital expenditure, working capital elements, R2R process, and ERP developments - relating to Vodafone Business Central entities based out of Europe, UK and APAC. The role also includes overseeing consolidation of results and outcome of financial processes and related KPIs for the US region.
- Manage teams based out of UK, Pune and APAC - some degree of flexibility will be required in working hours to manage teams in different time zones.
- Deliver Financial and management accounting and reporting, financial controls, working capital management, finance transformation, quality and value targets as well as the related operational efficiencies for all areas of accountability.
- Financial control including oversight of balance sheet reviews - at entity level as well as VB level
- Ensure effective relationship and performance management at world class/market leading operational excellence with Vodafone SSC
- Set, steer and control dedicated EtE KPIs/SLAs/OLAs
- Manage and support formal governance routes for escalation of issues and queries
- Create an effective and efficient risk, accounting and compliance management, including the fulfilment of all governance and statutory reporting requirements
Who you are
Key accountabilities:
- Manage accounting and reporting team, processes, systems and reporting and ensure smooth running of all accounting and reporting operations
- Leads the planning, execution and optimisation of MEC process
- Responsible for the Financial Consolidation of VB entities
- Leads financial accounting processes, balance sheet, P&L and Cash flow reviews across all legal entities and procedures ensuring the integrity and reporting of costs in the General Ledger
- Takes responsibility for the sign-off of Financial Operations processes for owned controls
- Working closely with VOIS to ensure successful delivery of services thru the TSA for all the legal entities such as entity controllership, statutory accounting, procure to pay, order to cash, commissions, intercompany, GL, Opex/Capex
- Create a culture of proactive continuous improvement of processes, systems and people and provide a platform for the people to develop their career and employability
- Develop Team capabilities to deliver world class results.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- CIMA/ACCA qualified + 10 Years PQE
- Experience in management accounting, preferably cost accounting, IFRS 16 and IFRS15
- Experience in telecommunications industry
- Very strong cooperation, coordination, communication and presentation skills
- Analytical-minded, hardworking, innovative, adaptable, team player and leader with broad experience and understanding of performance management
