About your role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, within a wider operational support team, the Senior Finance Coordinator supports Sayer Vincent in its delivery of a high-quality service by

assisting the partners and managers in all aspects of financial management. With responsibility for the day to day recording of financial transactions, the postholder plays a key role in improving the firm's performance through accurate and timely financial reporting.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Financial management and reporting
  • Security of financial documentation and data
  • Banking and insurance
  • Stakeholder relationships

This role is not limited to the above-mentioned tasks. As Sayer Vincent continues to grow and develop, from time to time you may be required to engage with and have involvement in other tasks.

Essentials & Qualifications

  • Must understand the fundamentals of accounting, including double entry bookkeeping and accruals accounting.
  • Significant experience in:
  • Accounting experience including accruals, prepayments and bank reconciliations.
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Preparation of cashflow forecasts
  • Preparation of budgets
  • Financial reporting
  • Financial monitoring
  • Credit control
  • Online banking
  • Understanding of PAYE
  • Understanding of VAT
  • Demonstratable experience in administration.
  • Well-developed knowledge of MS Office, including excel and word.
