This role supports the Head of Finance FP&A in the production, analysis and development of accurate management reporting, driving accountability and transparency through the Sysco GB business and guiding business decision making.

This role will be directly responsible for delivering analysis of reports and providing insights into business performance to guide business decisions, challenge and set strategic direction. It will also be responsible for enhanced KPI reporting, managing the integrated Forecast/Planning cycles and assisting in scenario planning.

Maintaining continuous review of processes and data for efficient delivery is integral to this position, including leveraging the use of existing systems, overseeing future Workday developments.

We are offering a hybrid working contract with most of your time spent working from home. However, you will be required to attend the office in Ashford, Kent once per week, so you must be comfortable and flexible with travel and commuting for project and team meetings.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Delivering insights, understanding and analysis of business performance through regular weekly, monthly and adhoc reporting, including for FPRs, MBCs, MPRs and Regionalisation.
  • Management of the budgeting, QBR and forecasting cycles and processes, including analysis, timetabling, cash flow and working capital forecasting.
  • Point person for International FP&A including delivery of Flash commentary, Month end submissions, Cycle/Forecast deliverables and other reporting as requested by International team.
  • Month end activities including Workday reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Assisting with Scenario planning, modelling, and long-term planning processes.
  • System and process development, including overseeing the implementation of future FP&A and data improvements as well as alignment projects.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must be fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). We are looking for someone who will drive performance through insight and has the knowledge and confidence to understand trends and results. You will be someone who supports the Sysco GB FP&A team in delivering transparent reporting, insights, analysis, encouraging and facilitating the effective use of forecasting and reporting software, with regular liaison with Sysco GB Exec, International and teams across Brakes, Fresh Direct, Kff and Medina. Strong Excel skills, including experience in financial analysis and modelling are essential as well as strong communication and partnering skills across all levels up to Exec level. You will be self-motivated and driven to deliver results and positively influence key stakeholders and have the ability to lead, mentor and develop direct reports. You will possess a positive outlook with the ability to engage and influence colleagues with a balance of challenge and support, and take an organised and logical approach to challenges.
