What you do
This role reports to the Head of Planning & Controlling of the Health LoB and will focus on the automation and process improvement of financial reporting and analysis activities. In this role, you'll play a key part in modernizing how we work - through streamlining workflows, enhancing reporting, and driving smarter decision-making with data.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate existing financial reporting processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement to enhance the quality, accuracy and timeliness of delivery
- Design and implement automated solutions with the use of macros, scripts, or other digital tools
- Provide training and support to team members on new automation tools and processes
- Collaborate with the wider planning and controlling team and business leaders to understand financial reporting and analysis needs and current gaps/ pain points
- Develop new reporting and interactive dashboards using Power BI and Excel (including Power Query and advanced formulas) to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement to support business leaders with decision making
- Prepare and deliver data-driven insights that support strategic decisions
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvements and iterate as needed
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in finance/ business/ economics or related subjects (e.g. applied mathematics)
- 5+ years in a financial, actuarial, or analytical rol
- Expert in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas, macros
- Proficient with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization)
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., VBA, Python, RPA tools) is a strong plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment and to collaborate effectively across departments
- Motivated self-starter with ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results within agreed deadlines
- An analytical and inquisitive nature with ability to deliver results to a high standard of accuracy with particular attention to detail
- Excellent command of English language (oral and written)
