Job Title: Senior Finance Business Partner

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Hours per week: 35 (flexible working options considered)

You'll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week. The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home.

About the roleWe are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join IOSH, at this exciting time in our Business Process transformational journey in Year 2 of our Activate 2028 strategy.

This role brings the opportunity to collaborate across all the Directorates within IOSH in financial planning and budget preparation, whilst providing analysis and commentary for a range of key stakeholders.

You will provide support to the Head of Finance (HoF) and line manage the Finance Business Partner (FBP) whilst maintaining and running complex financial models to ensure robust business planning and effective decision making across the IOSH group.

There is the opportunity to make your mark and support the leading of the finance function in identifying and improving the effectiveness of accounting systems and financial reporting within the organisation.

What you'll bring

This role is ideal for a passionate and visible Senior Finance Professional with a proven track record of effectively managing financial resources.

You will either be CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified with evidence of up-to-date knowledge and relevant management accounting experience within a Senior Business Partnering role.

You will have extensive experience in leading and supporting a finance team ideally in a charitable / public sector organisation.

Essential criteria

  • Qualified accountant, either ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or CIMA.
  • Experience of financial analysis and business case planning, with an ability to understand and create complex spreadsheets and modelling tools.
  • Extensive financial management accountancy experience including budgeting, business planning, audit and payroll.
  • Track record of successfully providing high quality advice to both finance and non- finance professionals on complex and technical finance and accounting issues.
  • Experience of preparing and presenting accurate and timely monthly and year-end financial statements and comprehensive commentary in accordance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Excellent stakeholder and line management skills.
  • Advanced financial, analytical and IT skills
