Senior Finance Assistant

We're a fast-paced multi-national business looking for an ACA-qualified finance professional with at least 3 years of experience in accounting, including senior finance or general ledger responsibilities. You'll be supporting our Head of Finance with day-to-day financial operations, including:
- Financial operations and reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations (including bank reconciliations)
- Intercompany transactions
- Maintaining and managing cashbooks with timely recording of cash movements
- Supporting cash flow forecasting to ensure effective liquidity
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and accounting for depreciation
- Managing accrual and prepayment schedules
- Approving purchase orders in line with company policy
- Payroll and expense processing
- Management reporting and data analytics
- Invoice factoring to support smooth cash flow and accurate reconciliations
- Providing ad hoc support to the wider finance team as needed

Requirements
- ACA qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a senior finance or general ledger accountant
- Proven experience in a multinational enterprise
- Advanced computer skills, including strong ERP and Office365 Excel capabilities
- Previous payroll experience (preferred but not essential)
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations
- Solid understanding of financial statistics, including UK and foreign VAT
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Ability to meet tight financial deadlines
