Senior Finance Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Finance Assistant who is passionate about numbers and wants to be part of a growing company that's really going places. you will be supporting our finance team with accounting transactions, ensuring queries are resolved and transactions are kept in good order, reconciling bank accounts and management of expenses for employees within the business, including administering and reporting on the credit card system.

The Role - Senior Finance Assistant

  • Daily management of the bank account records and reconciliation of the various bank accounts, including resolving issues, making postings and corrections as required.
  • Preparation of the bank reconciliation report for month end close
  • Management and processing of expenses for the business - this is for both reimbursement of personal expenses and accounting for credit card transactions for card holders.
  • Management of credit card holders in terms of starters, movers and leavers.
  • Preparation of the month end accruals for expenses and credit card transactions.
  • Reconciliation of the credit card control account for statements and payment.
  • Management of the expenses system in terms of starters, movers and leavers.
  • Performing all duties professionally and in line with documented procedures to ensure all internal and external targets are successfully achieved
  • Providing support and cover for other members in the team when needed

What You Will Need in the Role of Senior Finance Assistant

  • Highly numerate and have a minimum of two years' experience working in a similar role, specifically of reconciling control accounts
  • A service-driven approach to deliver the WOW factor internally and to customers externally.
  • Always striving to find better ways of doing things; identifying solutions and committed to delivering positive change
  • Able to work using their own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
  • Brilliant verbal and written communication skills as well as being highly responsive and organised.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • IT proficient, with a good understanding of MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
