Job Description
The Details
Our finance function operates at the heart of ASOS. Say goodbye to preconceptions of bean-counters and hello to a multi-functional, business facing department. Our finance team controls the cash within the business and also provides support to the business to help it make decisions to lead us to being a global online fashion destination.
What you'll be doing
- Business partnering with the Product team (Buying, Merchandising and Global Planning) and providing financial support for a number of business led projects.
- Monthly review of profitability by brand/department/product type with the business.
- Reviewing and challenging the company WSSI (intake, stock, sales and returns).
- Ownership of margin, intake, and stock from a commercial finance perspective working closely with the business to forecast and track accurately.
- Adding value to financial performance through developing and monitoring key performance indicators.
- Tracking and challenging the business on any tasks/initiatives owned by retail to support the business to deliver on profit targets
- Liaising with other Finance teams, to ensure a collaborative approach towards business planning and forecasting.
- Developing and supporting more junior members of the team
- Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
Qualifications
About You
- An accounting qualification (preferably CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
- A proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
- A strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Advanced skills in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data.
- An ability to organise own work and to take initiative.
- An ability to determine insightful observations from detail for management attention.
- Commercial awareness.
- Good communication/ interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Flexible and open to change.
- Pro-activeness.
