Job Description

We're seeking a talented individual to join our Finance Management Accounts team working in the Revenue reporting team in Liverpool, which is responsible for Revenue recognition and Reporting on the Assets under Management. The role holder will operate within defined standards and guidelines for the team

Some of your responsibilities will be to

  • Collating, reviewing, reporting, and resolving any issues with the reporting of Assets under Management (AUM) by the Group.
  • Extracting revenue data from source systems to collate/review and post revenue.
  • Reconciliation of revenue postings to cash received with timely follow up on anomalies.
  • Updating reconciliation's for control frameworks and files provided to auditors.
  • Contributing to the collation of Revenue and AUM data for regulatory returns.
  • Building knowledge of the operational systems used to collect/record fees and the business services provided and following up on issues,
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and work produced within deadlines and that any anomalies are reported to your line manager within agreed timescales.
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries in a timely professional manner in line with prioritisation for the team
  • Contribute to the review of team tasks, identifying improvements with a view to building efficient processes. Participate in, and contribute to, any ad-hoc project-related work where necessary.
  • Adopt a high-quality culture to minimise errors and ensuring high quality service levels are delivered. Ensuring all work is completed with a high level of accuracy, escalating to manager or relevant department where necessary.
  • Support and provide cover for other members of the team and wider department as and when required.
  • Ensure that knowledge and skills are maintained and developed in line with industry, regulatory and internal requirements by undertaking regular and appropriate continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Operate in accordance with Group policies and procedures manuals.
  • Any other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Professional accounting qualification.
  • Experience gained working in a management accounts team essential
  • Experience within a financial services institution is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience of systems and operational processes advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Strong Interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences.
  • Ability to work well in a team but concurrently comfortable to work individually.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organise workloads effectively and meet tight deadlines
