Purpose of the Role
Join the Finance team as a Senior Finance Analyst where you'll partner with the Research and Development as well as Design functions, owning budgets and guiding stakeholders up to Director level in Engineering on cost allocation activities. Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager - Engineering and Intercompany your main responsibilities include;
- Delivering budgets, plans and forecasts data to internal timelines
- Accurate month end processing of ensuring adherence with International Financial Reporting Standards
- Analysis and variances against latest plan e.g. budget forecast, with clear explanations of the reasons for variances
- Carrying out frequent budget holder reviews, ensuring that the budget holder has full understanding of current and planned expenditure
- Identifying risks and opportunities and provisioning/suggesting counter measures to compensate for any risks
- Operating and co-ordinating of local planning - reforecasting and budgeting including development and management of inputs from customers
- Aligning to business targets and challenge business areas to realise opportunities
- Ensuring effective authorisation of all expenditure within budget in line with company policy and legislation (tax and legal)
About the Team
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Finance family in this period of Automotive transformation as we release our new products-Bentley Hybrid Electric and Fully Electric vehicles! The role is - and will remain - of strategic importance as efficient and transparent control of the intercompany budget is a key success factor in the new Bentley Electrification Projects.
About you - Skills and Experience
- A year or more of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) in a finance role
- Hold a recognised accounting qualification ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience engaging with and presenting to stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and experience producing comprehensive analysis to support decision making, including identifying risks and opportunities
- Good knowledge of systems such as SAP, Tableau and/or PowerBI
