Senior Field Service Engineer

Mission

In this role, you will be part of a customer-focused team dedicated to supporting our clients in the Smartspace line reporting to the Services Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will ensure that our customer's control projects are managed and maintained and, where possible, upgraded. In order to carry this out, we are looking for candidates with a solid technical background in servicing residential customers.

Key Responsabilities

  • Work on coordinating, preparing and fault-finding project solutions
  • Design and engineer building control and automation systems and, when needed, work as part of the team to offer support to the broader team with their designs
  • Work with bus systems and technologies such as KNX, LON, BACnet, Modbus & Tridium Niagara AX, with development to StruxturWare, Wiser for KNX
  • Build and maintain systems software and configurations (ETS)
  • Deliver necessary training to customers and other team members
  • Participate in the execution of smaller projects by scheduling equipment for them and
  • Pre-configuring and downloading equipment before delivery and preparation of project-related documentation, including cost sheets and maintenance contracts
  • Be able to liaise with customers regarding queries they might have
  • Carry out drawing and designing with AutoCAD, and when needed, update the schematics, layouts, topology drawings and other associated details

Skills and attributes:

  • Qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Be able to demonstrate related work experience and a strong track record in a similar role
  • Be able to build a good customer relationship and a strong collaboration
  • Experienced user of the following: KNX, DALI Control and Tridium AX/ N4
  • Knowledge of LON, C-Bus, Modbus, Niagara AX, PME, PSO and StruxturWare would be desirable but not essential
    The ability to own and follow through on commitments to completion
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a must
