The Role

We are seeking an FFE Commercial Manager to join the team at The Office Group in the highly agile, fast-paced flexible workspace sector. Part of the wider Design and Development team, this position will be responsible for the execution of a new procurement strategy as well as having control over its implementation on all new buildings and major refurbishments, from place order to project management of logistics, delivery and install.

The ideal candidate will have deep relationship with global suppliers, excellent product awareness, commercial acumen and an engine for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing the new procurement strategy for FF&E and select hard finishes (e.g. tiling, hardwood flooring) and sanitary ware with input from the Design Director and support from the Centralised Procurement department
  • Establishing commercial agreements/setting rates with suppliers and dealers on preferred products/ranges
  • Evolve the procurement strategy for FFE in the Alterations team
  • Budgeting / Benchmarking / Financial analysis.
  • Internal stakeholder management
  • Project delivery

Requirements

  • Strong background in FFE sourcing, procurement and project delivery
  • Experience in supplier relationship management
  • Experience in managing internal and external project teams.
  • Understanding/experience in the workplace sector advantageous.
  • Understanding/experience in the hospitality, retail or entertainment sectors advantageous.
  • Led and managed FF&E projects from inception to completion.
  • Degree level education preferable
  • Good business acumen and commercial understanding
  • Good technical and procedural understanding of office fit out
  • Excellent understanding and skills - MS Office
  • Experience of partnering with Senior Stakeholders
  • Previous experience in multi-site working
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-talk and prioritise workload within fast paced environment.
  • Leadership qualities, ability to motivate and facilitate others towards a goal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with senior stakeholders, internal teams and external agencies.
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated.
