Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of this role is to support with the management of the McLaren brand and its international profile. As a guardian of the McLaren brand, the Executive, Brand Management ensures consistency across all touch points through adherence to our brand guidelines and other materials.
The role predominantly focuses on our Formula 1 partners and licensees, however may also involve supporting our other Racing Series.
The successful candidate is expected to work collaboratively with stakeholders across Marketing and Racing, and a roster of third party specialists to ensure our partners are represented accurately and branding execution is managed efficiently. There may also be requirements to help with the management of assets across key platforms, such as our digital asset management platform. They will foster excellent supplier relations, and will be encouraged to constantly look outside of Racing to bring innovative new ideas to the way that we showcase our brand.
Principal Accountabilities:
Brand Management (70%)
- Champion our brand standards ensuring partner, licensee, ecomm and gaming content aligns to our brand guidelines.
- Lead partner campaign collateral approvals ensuring consistency and accuracy in McLaren brand application.
- Work collaboratively with other cross-company functional areas to ensure relevant and appropriate application of brand standards.
- Support and manage special marketing projects, as required.
- Work with third party agencies, managing their briefing, defining scopes of work, and delivery on projects.
- Act as a brand ambassador both internal and externally.
Digital Asset Management (20%)
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of our digital asset management system. Taking responsibility for version control of race and internal content and dissemination of up-to-date brand assets to internal and third party users.
- Looking for ways to enhance the platform to best service our partners, media and employees.
F1 Digital Garage (10%)
- Responsible for evolving our trackside digital environments, including our immersive garage screens, working closely with our partner network to deliver engaging content in-line with key initiatives.
- Collaborating with our third party agency, and internal teams in the management and maintenance of the technology.
- Look for opportunities to drive efficiencies.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
The post holder will:
- Be able to manage multiple initiatives with strong organisation and project management skills.
- Have very strong attention to detail.
- Have knowledge of asset rights management and global / local market differentiators.
- Have a working knowledge of asset management systems; metadata management, version control and archiving.
- Have the ability to manage third party agencies and contractors remotely, across timezones, to identify and troubleshoot issues in live scenarios.
- Have confidence to act independently, but with the ability to know when issues need to be escalated to achieve prompt resolution.
- Have experience of handling commercially sensitive information and data with discretion.
- Be able to anticipate workflow bottlenecks, and deliver projects on time and on budget.
In addition, it would be advantageous for the post holder to:
- Be familiar with digital file formats, the Creative Cloud Suite and content production workflows.
- Develop collaborative stakeholder strategies to effectively bed-in new brand initiatives across the company.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.
Our state of the art, sustainable campus offers many facilities including a gym, restaurant and indoor and outdoor break-out areas, as well as direct access to park and common land. The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
