We have a 12-month FTC for a Senior Ethical Trading Manager to join the Team to Support the Head of Responsible Sourcing to deliver the Clothing and Home Ethical and Plan A strategies across the business, managing the sourcing office teams auditing programme, driving industry leading and customer focused social and ethical programmes.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include
- Liaise with regional compliance teams for regular progress updates on policy/strategy implementation, activity pilots and data collection, ensuring all projects and programmes are budgeted, tracked, monitored, measured and reported on.
- Drive implementation of Tier 1 & Tier 2 ethical compliance programme with:
- Assistant Ethical Trading Manager - documentation, internal comms, supplier comms, data quality, key KPIs
- Sourcing Office Senior Compliance Managers - monthly meetings, bi-annual strategy meetings
- Escalation process support - reinforcing policies with UK buying teams
- Work closely with internal stakeholders - Foods, C&H Sustainability, Plan A, Central Sourcing, Brands to provide C&H information and ensure consistency across all areas.
- Manage content development and/or reviewing content for:
- Internal reporting - monthly report, ESG committee, Audit and Risk Committee
- Information for external benchmarks / memberships
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- Ability to manage and motivate regional compliance teams to support implementation of strategy and drive success
- Knowledge of and experience in the interpretation audits & the implementation of corrective actions for the resolution of non-compliances
- Ideally experience of working with NGOs, Trade Unions and multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Proven track record of managing and delivering innovative projects & programmes to resolve supply chain and worker ethical issues working with suppliers and external organisations
- Ability to build trust and liaise with customers and external stakeholders to maintain leading ethical retailer position
