Senior Estimator - Refurbishment & Structural Projects

Location: London (with occasional travel to site as required)

A growing main contractor renowned for its technical excellence is seeking a confident and commercially focused Senior Estimator. This is a standout opportunity to price and shape landmark refurbishment schemes in London, with individual project values reaching up to £30M.

The Role

In this pivotal pre-construction role, you'll lead estimating activities across complex refurbishment, structural alteration, façade and roofing packages. Working closely with senior stakeholders, your insight will help position high-quality proposals that balance innovation, commercial value, and technical precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, tender submissions, and value engineering options across a diverse portfolio
• Analyse specifications and drawings for scope, risk, and opportunity
• Liaise with supply chain and subcontractors to secure competitive packages
• Develop procurement plans aligned to budgets and programme demands
• Present estimates to internal and external stakeholders with clarity and confidence

You'll Bring

• Proven estimating experience on refurbishment and structural projects from £5M to £30M
• Strong knowledge of the London construction market, supply chain, and cost benchmarks
• Technical competence across façades, roofing, temporary works, and MEP understanding
• Attention to detail, commercial insight, and excellent negotiation skills
• Proficiency in digital estimating tools and take-off software
