Reporting to the ER Manager, the ER Advisor will be a key part of the Employee Relations and HR business partnering team, providing ER advisory support to the business.

The role
The ER Advisor will work closely with the ER Manager, HR Business Partners, and the sales team. They will manage general HR queries and concerns. In addition, the ER Specialist will assist the ER Specialist with ER caseload across the regions. You will also support ad hoc HR project management as and when required across the department.

What to expect from the role
- Provides timely and expert advice and coaching to line managers, acting as the first point of contact for policy and ER process queries.
- Works closely with the wider HR team on HR projects and initiatives based on demand.
- Builds strong professional relationships with employees across all levels of the business, by providing first class HR support, advice, and coaching.
- Assists the ER Manager with investigations, grievances, disciplinary hearings, redundancy consultations and other employee relations matters.
- Manages ER case load, providing advice, guidance, and investigation support, escalating complex or high-risk queries to the ER Manager where appropriate
- Provides professional and expert advice to managers on a range of employee relations matters.
- Assists with the development of scripts, FAQs and process desktop procedures for ER meetings when required.
- Works closely with line managers, providing advice, guidance and coaching in line with company policy, procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
- Manages personal, sensitive, and confidential information in a professional manner.
- Supports line managers with performance improvement and development matters.
The successful candidate
- Will have a working knowledge of HR processes and procedures especially Employee relations topics
- Have experience from retail and/or fast paced organisations
- Be working towards or willing towards CIPD qualifications
