The Enterprise/Senior Architect will play a critical role in achieving Cognizant's business objectives. You will be part of the team working closely with our business leaders and developing relationships with senior stakeholders (often at C-level). You will be responsible for the client engagement success from solutioning through delivery.

You will also be focused on growing our business by providing innovative solutions and adding a real value to our clients. We are particularly looking for Architects who have worked on large cloud transformation program.

The role is based in London (Stratford), and you will be expected to travel onsite 2 to 3 times a week. You will occasionally travel to Manchester.

Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

• Envision a transformation roadmap that aligns with the strategic and tactical direction of the client - specifically around Data strategy.
• Work with Business Stakeholders and Project Managers to understand inefficiencies in clients' existing business processes and applications and recommend solutions.
• Drive solutioning for complex deals involving multiple service lines and domains as part of RFI, RFP and informal deal processes, leading a cross functional team of service line experts drawn from their respective domains to drive alignment of solution deliverables to client objectives.
• Provide oversight and advice to other data architects who are undertaking the design of data models and support the management of data dictionaries. You will get involved in designing data models and metadata systems.
• Make sure that your teams are working to the standards set for the organisation by the chief data architect and in accordance with the appropriate data architecture.
• Undertake design, support and provide guidance for the upgrade, management, de-commission and archive of data in compliance with data policy.
• Participate, and where necessary lead, in governance meetings to ensure that the risks and mitigation steps are identified and implemented.
• Foster an innovative culture within the team and participate in partner forums and evangelizing technology capabilities of Cognizant.

The experience you will need to demonstrate:

From a technical perspective:

• You will demonstrate experience in Cloud Transformation Engagements.
• You will have solid experience in Talend.
• Experience and strategic thinking around Data architecture, governance, innovation, modelling, standards, communication, analysis and synthesis and Metadata management and innovation.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the below:

• You are a strategic technologist, understanding the key technologies and limitations, systems modelling and enterprise frameworks - in particular in the Public Sector domain.
• You are experienced in complex deal solutioning, running structured deals and providing technology leadership in complex projects and programmes.
• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at the most senior level.
