Job title: Senior Engineer – Requirements and Acceptance

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
· Contribute to the fulfilment of the Operating Environment requirements on the Canadian River Class Destroyer (RCD) Project
· Review Platform System Vendor Furnished Information (VFI) for declared compliance with Operating Environment requirements.
· Liaise with the Type 26 Project to obtain pull-through evidence to support the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Project .
· Support Operating Environment aspects of Vendor Requirement Reconciliation (VRR) events as required.
· Run monthly Operating Environment Working Groups with various stakeholders including the Canadian Government and Navy customers.
· Update the RCD Operating Environment Equipment Qualification Register to agree acceptance & concession position with the customer.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
· Technical knowledge and experience of naval system design and integration
· Previous experience working within a marine environment
· Knowledge and/or familiarity with requirements and acceptance criteria
· Ability to liaise with stakeholders at various levels
Desirable:
· Previous experience working within a requirements and acceptance role
Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation. Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.

The Signatures Team:
As a Senior Engineer – Requirements and Acceptance you’ll be joining a small multi-disciplined team of Engineers and Scientists working as part of a Capability Centre. The team work across all projects within our Naval Ships business unit. Ensuring the Canadian River Class Destroyer (RCD) will be able to operate globally without degradation of operational performance.
