General Summary:

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE 5 DAYS PER WEEK ONSITE IN OUR FARNBOROUGH OFFICE

Responsibilities

• An ideal candidate will be coming with strong 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (e.g., 3GPP NR, LTE, 3G) in addition to BSP/HLOS skills
• The successful candidate will get a chance to work on cutting edge wireless technologies from leading device manufacturers to commercialization.
• Working with a wide cross functional team comprising of various design and software teams, business, sales, and customer engineering
• Problem-solving, debugging & Analytical skills.
• Issue reporting and follow-up for resolution.
• On-site support towards device manufacturers and/or EU operators.
• Collaborating with various teams across different QC offices as per the task.
• Assessing complex technical issues arising from customer product developments
• Leading and coordinating engineering resources in resolving complex technical issues
• Organizing technical training, design reviews and engineering workshops on behalf of customers
• Hosting conference calls and web meetings
• Building trusted relationship with customers and Qualcomm internal team

*** This role involves European and global travel up to 40%***

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years Software Applications Engineering experienced with debugging and analysis of wireless communication systems
• 3+ years of 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (e.g., 3GPP NR, LTE, 3G).
• Familiarity with modem log analysis (e.g. WCDMA, LTE, 4g, 5g etc.)
• Good domain knowledge of two or more functional areas of SoCs such as Application Processor, AI, Modem (4G/5G/6G), WLAN, Power Management etc.
• Experience with embedded software development, integration & debugging
• Experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc
• Knowledge of Core BSP techniques like clocks, Interrupts, DDR added advantage.
• Familiar with peripheral interfaces (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, USB).
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

• Strong problem-solving, debugging & Analytical skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
