The Senior Engineer reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible to support in all aspects of both service and installation delivery across our current portfolio and work in progress. This client facing role will require the post holder to represent the company in a positive manner, at times work alongside team members and other 3rd party vendors to ensure service delivery is accomplished in a detailed and timely fashion.

As part of ASM's continued growth plans we have created an important role for a multi-disciplined senior engineer to cover both fire and security systems. This role focuses on supporting both the management and engineer team with specific technology-based solutions for our many client's requirements. Namely Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, Door Entry and Intruder Alarm Systems.

ASM works with the leading technology partners including cloud-based technologies to provide effective and scalable solutions for smart offices, multi-use buildings and corporate estates.

Key Duties

  • Responsible for maintenance, fault finding and repair of a range of Fire Alarms, CCTV systems (including IP/networked systems), Access Control and Intruder alarms.
  • Good technical and communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.
  • The ability to problem solve calmly and sort issues professionally is essential.
  • Presentable, professional and experience in a client facing role.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Responsible for organising his/her own calendar and planning with customers.
  • Meeting the required SLA's or customer specific KPI's.
  • Timely and accurate documentation is essential.
  • Provide guidance and support for colleagues and customers.

The role offers a Monday to Friday working pattern with a Company car, call out rate and overtime included in the package.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable record of success and an evolved network and will be a pragmatic team player, a results-oriented self-starter, and comfortable with ambiguity during this period of growth.

  • Possess a full understanding of the UK fire and security industry and the systems that are used.
  • Wide array of product knowledge would be advantageous.
    • Advanced MX, Kentech
    • Paxton, ACT, LenelS2, Gallagher
    • Texecom, Galaxy
    • HIK, Dahua, Avigilon, Indigo Vision, Geovision
    • VMS platforms, Mirasys, Milestone
  • Demonstrate PC literacy, preferably with specific knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Suitable Mathematic and English qualifications.
  • Proven industry experience with a good track record of performance.
