About the role

At the core of Climate Group's transport system are corporate and subnational government networks, committed to the EV transition and accelerating the global shift to electric vehicles. We drive change through our flagship initiatives EV100 which represent 130 global companies committed to electrifying their fleets and the ZEV Community which provides a platform for regional governments to connect, collaborate, and learn from each other's innovative projects worldwide.

The Senior Engagement Manager will lead the member engagement team and collaborating closely with communications and policy colleagues, in-country programme managers, and the Head of Transport. The role will involve developing and driving our member recruitment process to bring new organisations into our networks, as well as expanding engagement opportunities, for members to participate in leadership profile, networking, knowledge-sharing, and policy initiatives across global markets. This includes guiding the delivery of planned and currently active projects in Japan, India, Europe and North America.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the Head of Transport, Client Experience Team and transport colleagues to lead the development and implementation of a compelling Member Value Proposition to support recruitment and member engagement in existing and new markets. This will include overseeing the regional delivery of a calendar of knowledge-sharing webinars, on-boarding member activities, members' forums and monitoring reporting processes
  • Develop and deliver a global membership recruitment strategy
  • Coordinate with regional leads in Japan, Europe North America and India to provide central support for their member engagement activities and ensure consistency across regions
  • Work with policy colleagues to engage members in our policy work and encourage participation in advocacy activities
  • Work closely with colleagues to link members to relevant communications opportunities through Climate Group and other external events, as well as media/press activity in key regions,
  • Coordinate/lead annual calls with members (corporate and subnational networks) to encourage links into policy, engagement, communications activity
  • Coordinate annual members meetings to update on key campaign activities and take feedback on strategy and direction of work
  • Field member enquiries and link to relevant member of the team
  • Lead member leaver discussions (refer to country leads where relevant)
  • Oversee the implementation of our CRM to support effective membership administration
  • Develop and manage relationships with local project partners
  • Input into the Climate Group's broader strategy development as part of its Transport System Leadership team.

Essential

  • Impact oriented and results driven attitude, able to demonstrate contribution to successful impact outcomes and flexible and adaptive planning skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing corporate and member recruitment and engagement strategies
  • Strong organisational skills, with ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment, prioritising and delegating effectively
  • Strong research and writing skills and ability to synthesise policy messaging from complex content
  • Problem solving mindset with experience managing risks and challenging relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of cultural contexts
  • Commitment to the mission of Climate Group and our Transport System.
  • Excellent level of English. Knowledge of other languages, especially French and Spanish, is considered a plus

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Transport decarbonisation, globally and in EV100 priority geographies
  • Experience organising multi-stakeholder convenings, including workshops, roundtables, events etc
  • Appreciation of commercial and financial drivers for businesses and NGOs

Where you'll work
Based in our London office, near the iconic Tower Bridge, you'll enjoy a flexible hybrid working arrangement - three days in the office, two days from home each week.

Our office is designed to support both collaborative work and focused individual time. It includes accessible facilities, a well-equipped gym, secure bike storage, and showers. Plus, we're easy to reach by bike and public transport.

The role will require occasional international travel.

This is a permanent position. The salary offered is £45,350 to £48,000 per annum, based on experience.
