Person specification

Education/ Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Degree (or equivalent specialist knowledge) in an engineering or environmental discipline.
  • Good general education

Desirable criteria

  • Formal Project Management qualification.

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Specialist knowledge - sustainability, energy management and environmental management including strategic awareness, business case preparation and presentations
  • Significant post qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrate financial management experience

Desirable criteria

  • Demonstrable operational and HR experience
  • Membership of a professional body
  • Experience working with PFI contracts

Skills & Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Ability to deal with highly complicated situations and the delivery of challenging corporate objectives
  • Knowledge of relevant British and European legislation and NHS guidance
  • Ability to communicate with clinical, technical and senior managerial staff both inside and outside the organisation regarding a range of technical subject areas
  • Ability to develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures to support core areas and disciplines.
  • Knowledge of management systems, BMS etc.,
  • Knowledge of financial systems and the preparation of annual budget assessments and on going financial monitoring
  • IT literate
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to establish an effective Q.A. Management system
