About the role
As we embark on our next phase of growth we are looking for a Senior Email Marketing Campaign Manager to continue to grow, innovate on and develop our email campaign strategy to build a best-in-class lead generation and nurture email outreach capability. This is a role that is critical to our success in growing our presence within Ideal Customer Profile segments and in getting Equals Money's innovative solutions in front of as many prospective and existing customers as possible to help them grow their businesses. This role will work closely with the digital performance marketing team, particularly the Account-Based Marketing Campaign Manager, and the wider Sales Operations team.

The Equals Group is in a period of rapid growth, having had a record-breaking 12 months of trading in 2023, with revenues up 37%, and transactions up 35%. We are also in a period of new feature releases across Equals Money and FairFX, third party integrations and more - offering huge opportunities for acquiring new customers.

Who you are

You are innovative, creative, commercially-minded and entrepreneurial, embracing a test-and-learn mentality. You can take responsibility for setting strategic direction and most importantly executing on that path and bringing others on that journey. You've got an aptitude for data, automations, systems and processes to enhance the scalability of email as a lead generation channel.

You will take over and execute outbound email campaigns across all product lines, but with particular emphasis on Equals Money and the B2B segment. You follow new developments and trends in email marketing and get under the hood of industries you've worked to better understand the prospect and customer mindset & motivations. You will work closely with the Senior ABM Campaign Manager, the Head of Sales Operations, the Head of Growth Marketing and CCO, setting KPIs and identifying key deliverable projects to increase the impact of email campaigns.

You will be based near our London office, near Mansion House. We have a flexible working policy and won't be expecting you in the office every day if that's not how you work best. There will be some expectation of travel to other Group and Customer locations from time to time.

  • Ideally 5-7 years of B2B email marketing experience, ideally some of which was spent with companies in the Fintech, Finance or SaaS sectors
  • Proven track record of successful email campaigns with a sophisticated business audience (i.e.. C-Suite, Director-level)
  • Experience with email automation platforms, specifically HubSpot Marketing Hub
  • Ability to analyze and report on email performance using both CRM and BI tool reporting suites (we use AWS Quicksight, in case you were wondering)
  • Intermediate Excel/Gsheets knowledge and skills, including V/Hlookups and Pivot tables
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability best practices
  • Experience with A/B testing and optimization
  • Knowledge of GDPR regulations
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Peerless attention to detail and excellent project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute bold and creative email marketing campaigns to generate leads, build intent amongst target prospects and increase existing customer engagement
  • Create targeted email lists based on demographic and behavioural data, sourcing high-fit grade data from external providers
  • Design and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize email content and subject lines
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics, including open and click-through rates, and overall conversion and revenue achievement, using data to recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including digital marketing, design, and sales, to ensure email campaigns align with overall marketing and business growth objectives
  • Ideate and coordinate closely with the Senior Account-Based Marketing Campaign Manager and the Head of Sales Operations to execute multi-channel outreach campaigns
  • Work closely with Product Marketing to enable GTM of new features and in new markets, automating journeys with repeatable value wherever possible
  • Stay up-to-date with email marketing trends and best practices, ensuring that any practical implications are highlighted and integrated into live campaigns
  • Manage email marketing software and tools, including HubSpot Marketing Hub.
  • Ensure email campaigns comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR and Consumer Duty.
